    Sakurano Department Store, near Sendai station finished the renovation with SRF from February to May of 2010. An outer panel fell off of the steel frame, but there were no other particular problems. It opened early April after the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11, 2011.

    A store located in a suburb of Sendai retrofitted 16 columns on the first floor with SRF in November through December of 2009. While nearby buildings stopped doing business or collapsed due to the Great East Japan Earthquake, this store was able to continue doing business.

    Effective combined with Brace

    An elementary school located in Sendai performed Brace Reinforcement and SRF on 6 columns in August 2007. The principal and the vice-principal thanked us, saying that while the neighboring school was damaged badly in the Great East Japan Earthquake, this school was fortunately able to continue classes. Seismic intensity scale measurement : 5.5 (JMA Scale: 6 Lower) PGV = 63.7 kine.

    Strengthening effect for New Anti-Seismic Design

    An apartment building located in Sendai was constructed with new anti-seismic design code of 1981. The condominium assosiation retrofitted 40 columns of the pilotis with SRF by way of precaution. After the Great East Japan Earthquake, the columns, and even the tiles showed no damage. In contrast, places with no SRF needed to repair tiles.
